Opening Compassion
One of the things I’ve been analyzing about lately is how I see others in relationship to how I see myself. I’ve been taking the time to look through what I’ve always considered “faults” in myself and if honestly told, in others.
I have consistently now found that if I don’t like what someone else has said or done, I can look no further than myself to see how unfairly I judge that in me.
Compassion is opening up her tender arms and receiving me more and more everytime I catch a judgment flowing out. Anymore, I pause, breathe and then relax and let it go. If that doesn’t work, I take some time to go sit with the judgments to see what gifts they have inside.
It’s a practice, certainly not perfect…..and like all life, evolving.
So, when I opened my email bag this morning and found the Cayce quote below, I had to smile at how the Universe ever aligns with our higher longings.
. . those that find fault with others will find fault in themselves; for they are writing their own record–they must meet, every one, that which they have said about another; for so is the image, the soul of the Creator in each body, and when ye speak evil of or unkindly to thy brother, thou hast done it unto thy God.
