Stop Creating Time
Sometimes it feels impossible to stay out of the past or to stop worrying about the future. I believe that the present moment is where the living goes on but have difficulty staying in it. It is comforting and familiar to be “out of time”, so to speak, where the mind is busily plotting and planning or regretting and fearing. Those comfort zones I wonder why they are so compelling. Repetitive thoughts, actions, patterns and schedules rule our lives but without any life in it. Fresh air is what I am craving in my life but I wonder if I will let it in.
“How to stop creating time?
Realize deeply that the present moment is all you ever have.
Make the Now the primary focus of your life.”
“Ask yourself what “problem” you have right now,
not next year, tomorrow, or five minutes from now.
What is wrong with this moment?”
“Thinking is only a small aspect of consciousness.
Thought cannot exist without consciousness,
but consciousness does not need thought.” -Tolle
