Thanksgiving New Moon in Sagittarius
I read a wonderful article in The Mountain Astrologer by Stephanie Austin about this week’s very powerful New Moon. She points out how strong the energies will be for change. The below is my take on the New Moon.
I’d like to start my commentary on this Moon with a Barack Obama quote: “Focusing your life solely on making a buck shows a certain poverty of ambition. It asks too little of yourself. Because it’s only when you hitch your wagon to something larger than yourself that you realize your true potential.”
You might say we are hitting the wall with this New Moon. We are now all being challenged to change in a big way, not just the small comfortable stuff. Now, more than ever, we are all accountable individually as we seek a better more consciously humane life.
What is your real place in the world? What did you really come here to do? If you don’t have some kind of idea of that you may be jolted into seeking a new way to live…..a new place to live and new people to live in it with.
These are the times we have been waiting for but we didn’t know it was going to be so intense and it’s going to get a lot more intense. What front are you fighting on? Is it financial? Relationships? Purpose? Needing more fun? Fighting for change in the system? Wherever you struggle is it will be getting a major spotlight shown on it to help you become very uncomfortable so that you will make needed changes.
Authentic change is not a new hairdo. Authentic change reaches down into the subconscious and starts throwing out what hasn’t worked for some time. I don’t know many people that are comfortable with this, but if you plunge ahead and persevere it will so be worth it!
I always recommend therapy.
