The ’60′s Revisited This Summer

I remember the ’60′s as if it were yesterday. Exciting, free, radical, exhilarating, rebellious, creative, alive!!! Well, that’s what is developing and we will taste of that elixir this summer. I’m not 20 this time and not sure how my aged psyche/body will handle this last tango between Uranus and Saturn.  We have been dancing/fighting with this opposition since the elections of ’08.

I want to fly free, but I’m not the same headstrong, irresponsible, freedom loving “hippie” I was back then.  Life has a tendency to mellow the fires of youth, or maybe just “beat the snot” out of them.

We’ll see the fruits of the summer of 2010 in ’11 and ’12. This would be a good time to revamp your life and let go of the old or you won’t get a zingy new life because you’ll be dealing with sludgy old patterns that get you down and make you sick.

The even bigger summer news is the Cardinal Square between the big kahunas, Pluto, Saturn, Jupiter & Uranus.  This is a slightly unstable pattern that will unleash enormous power through Pluto the planet of Power & Transformation.  Pluto will be under tremendous pressure to do something.  This whole configuration will be operating on the level of Soul, hope you have been listening to your higher self and following the guidance of your intuition.  It will be very important to relax through all of this, so do take a nice vacation and plan your next course of action in your ever evolving life.

There will be a lot of energy for taking action to change this summer, just don’t let it run you over!

Heaven forfend Sue! I did it all the first time with bells on (man!) and no longer have the body for it. Seriously though you don’t need astrology to see that we have a shake-up of pretty major proportions on the way – on all levels. I have Uranus trine my Asc this year and 2011 and conj my Sun for 2012 so as the Cardinal square pressure progressively eases off these points I should get a chance to make the most of those transits (with whatever is left.) How does it sit with you? My ear to the ground would suggest that our generation will come in for considerable consequences of what is seen to be our irresponsibility politically and socially. Well, guilty as charged I suppose but much of the accusation is unfair and much blame lies at the door of previous generations and the manipulation of human nature. Nevertheless the young are baying for blood and I don’t think it will be as much fun as the 60s – especially for them.
For sure the ‘sludgy old patterns’ are no longer a real option though I am having my patience tested by those whose heads are firmly wedged in the sand! Maintaining loyalty to those who have no scruples about the liability they force onto others is becoming a real dilemma.
However, as you say ‘Affairs are now soul- sized’ – for heavens sake we are supposed to be the wise Crones of our people now – please God we get a chance to be of real value after all.
Sorry if this is too much ranting – I have Chiron squ. my Asc today and am concious that this sounds a bit negative and shouty. Good mannners aside maybe in the long run we will no longer have to hide our real personalities behind such a socially acceptable veneer. Oh dear off I go again! All I meant to do was to wish you a very peaceful and joyous Easter – think we can still manage that!
    Shanti (yes really!)

Not at all, did I miss something? I’ve been a little preoccupied lately. Mars is conjunct my Mars and I find myself running in many directions and work has been so busy, cat sick, decisions (big ones) to make. I apologize if I missed responding to you.

No problem, hope cat is soon on the mend and decisions are taken wisely – at least courage shouldn’t be lacking with that Mars! Have a good (S L O W) weekend.
    Shanti
