Solar Eclipse/New Moon in Cancer Sunday 2:41 pm
If you are hearing doors slamming shut and your breath taken away by new doors whooshing open…….welcome to the second eclipse of summer!
Fresh air, an infusion of Light and the call of the Universe to step into your unlimited possibilities is happening now. This is the time of unbridled creativity in redefining our lives. Whatever has outworn it’s use will have to go, don’t mourn, there won’t be time because you will be so happy to welcome in your fresher life. These are the days of enthusiasm and change for your brighter future. Your soul is calling and the planets are lined up to help you now. We will be experiencing the effects of this summer for years to come. And with the help of Mercury/Jupiter/Uranus in a lovely fire trine it will be oh so easy to let go and let in and love will pave the way.
Stay tuned………………….
Uranus in Aries Now Retrograde
When the planets retreat we have an opportunity to dig through their lessons. Uranus, the planet of change and creativity or chaos offers a lesson of moving forward with conviction into new realms we have not foreseen. It demands that we dig deep into our creative ether and pull forth new ways to live our lives in excited joy.
Uranus now takes back it’s place in the T-Square formed with Pluto (transformation) and Saturn (responsibility) and asks us alll to take a reality check of our lives and our part in healing the planet.
Pluto’s part in this is a call to get the world together or have us de-evolve where there will be even more civil and planetary war.
This summer we feel the powerful T-Square in intense waves of change all around us. There will be more violent weather, almost certainly another big earthquake and the economy will continue to fall apart.
What can we do in all of this seeming disarray? Change. Step out of your dead past, your stuck patterns, your codependent relationships and find the creative inspiration to live your life outside of a stereotype. Find a local garden and pitch in. Learn how to be more self sufficient. Get rid of the plastic in all areas of your life. Get real, have fun and be the creative genius you have denied yourself all these years.
Uranus just asks you to be a more exciting and original piece of work so that you can contribute to the healing of a world.
Aum Shanti Shanti Shanti

We have a nice little conjunction today from Mercury to the South Node of the Moon. It remains the same theme that I’ve been writing about with the eclipses, grand cross, solstice and more. That theme is to let go of whatever in your life drags you down, drains your power and makes your life dismal.
Mercury, our beloved winged messenger coming straight from the Gods with this direct command can actually show you how to let go. Listening is your part and that is best done in meditation or at least quiet reflection. Sometime today, sit quietly and open your heart and mind to hear what Mercury’s message to you is.
Your past is begging to be released. It’s function has been served and you can’t take it into your future. Sorrow, anger, bitterness, these do not serve your highest good. Or even longing for some better time in your life from the past will not serve your happiness today.
Wisdom comes in the form of release and moving on.
No commentsGive Peace A Chance
As the great John Lennon penned so many years ago. This would be the time during a rather eruptive eclipse to find that peace within you. It is way past time for us all to stop being so reactive to external forces and breathe our peace out into the world.
You may notice your dreams are getting very intense or maybe you are receiving many messages from them. Listen and take action on letting go and lightening up your life. Do you really need all those clothes/dishes/pictures ad infinitum? Happy eclipsing………………….
Cringing or Changing-What is Real?
Lately I have been reading a great deal of “prophetic” types of articles from Astrology to Nostradamus. Phew! Heavy stuff, and it has made me afraid of what the world is coming to in the not so distant future. Fortunately my interior voice keeps speaking up and saying ‘you have nothing to fear but fear itself’, and then I can breathe a little better and it pulls me back into the moment.
Do we have reason for concern? Oh yes, the world has gone down many corridors of negativity and we read about the disasters on a daily basis. They are getting worse and will continue to worsen long after I will be here. I don’t believe I will see this new age come into the state of peace that it will eventually come to. And that’s alright. I can only do just so much and that is what is put before me. For me, it always comes back to have I been a good enough person, did I love enough, was I generous enough, was I more of a help than a hindrance?
My best advice to myself during these times is to breathe and remember who I am- a being of Light having a brief human experience. So, I donate to micro loan organizations like Kiva.org to help my brothers and sisters around the world. I care for an aging parent. I support a daughter in school. I treasure and support a grandson. I take care of myself the best way that I can. I smile at strangers. I bless irritable drivers. I pray for the innocent animals. I recycle. I teach people how to overcome their outworn patterns and meditate. I encourage good health on all levels-physical, emotional, mental and spiritual. And then I am back on center. The world will go the way it goes, I can only do my part here in my corner of the world.
Astrologically, after this summer we will all be moving more in the direction of healing personally and globally. It’s about change, we are always changing, and it’s about not resisting those changes. Let it go and let in the new you, the new life, invigorating and fresh!
“If we develop concern for other people’s welfare, share other people’s suffering and help them, ultimately we will benefit. If we think only of ourselves and forget about others, ultimately we will lose. The more we care for the happiness of others, the greater our own sense of well-being becomes.”

No comments6/21-Summer Solstice
It’s a power summer to be sure with so many heavenly influences churning everyone’s psyche and there will probably be a few blow outs.
This Solstice is indicative of how we need to celebrate our real connections with the earth and each other. The best advice is to remain calm in the face of much possible adversity. This summer is changing us all, try to remember that when you get bogged down in your own little world.
Because Uranus (rebellion) is so active and in the sign of Aries (in charge), hold on and remember that change is necessary and good.
Uranus wants us to break free of our past and know that chaotic circumstances are helping to usher in a new era. The key is to remain calm and flexible and have a little faith and belief in the power of you.
Solstice celebrations are a wonderful way to connect to each other and celebrate the beginning of Summer! Invite a few friends over and talk about the changes you would like to see in your life and community and don’t forget to laugh and share a little food.
Next up 2 eclipses that will rock your world-hopefully in a good way-up to you!
No commentsThe Cardinal Grand Cross of 6/26
Ch ch ch change……..you can feel it in every breath! New enthusiasm for your life and moving in fresher/newer directions! It would be wise to have an update done on your Astrology Chart to see where this will affect you the most. Call me 884.0621 an we can set up an appointment to best navigate this most important time of your life. Eclipse reports in person are 1 hour and specially priced at $75 (save $45).
As we move rapidly toward the Lunar Eclipse/Grand Cross on June 26 we are preparing for the Solar Eclipse on July 11.
My favorite political astrologer, Bill Herbst has this to say about the June 26 Eclipse/Cross:
“Collectively, the meaning of this Eclipse/Grand Cross alignment reaches back
three years to 2007, when the outer-planet T-square began to form between
Saturn, Uranus, and Pluto. That right triangle, which will remain in the heavens
through much of 2011, gives us the basic context of meaning: Sudden
breakdown in the economic, social, and political institutions that govern social
organization and structure commerce, with an accompanying denial through
refusal to face reality.
During the T-square, and even after Humpty Dumpty’s great fall in the financial
meltdown of 2008, the powers-that-be preferred to imagine that they could put
Humpty back together again just like before. Despite unimaginable loss of wealth
and unfolding revelations of rot at the core of our failing institutions, few if any
efforts will be made to reform the system. Instead, the fantasy of “business-asusual”
continues, with no one taking responsibility. The deluded fantasies of
endless economic growth and easy wealth creation through massive debt hold
sway, as does the continuing theft of the commons by the morally criminal (but
technically legal) transfer of wealth upward from the base of the population into
fewer and fewer hands, namely, those of the super-rich who own the banks, run
Wall Street, and have taken control of the government.
Those among us who are horrified at the elite corruption, public malaise, and
lack of active revolt against such depredations need to better understand the
timing here. The Saturn-Uranus-Pluto T-square tells us in no uncertain terms that
calls for reform or revolution are currently premature. Make no mistake,
however: Financial, economic, social, and even political revolutions are indeed
coming, but not until after Pluto and Uranus begin their seven-pass first-quarter
square from Capricorn to Aries. That starts in 2012, continues through 2015, and
carries repercussions that ripple out through the rest of the decade and far
beyond. What we are seeing before then, in 2008-2011, is the sporadic
unraveling of toxic beliefs, some of which date back 40 years (financial
schemes), others of which have been with us since the beginning of the
Industrial Revolution (predatory capitalism). These are the sacred cows of
American mythology, and their ruin challenges the great edifice of propaganda
and hubris that took 200 years to build. In that context, four years of denial
represent a relatively brief period. Shaking off our delusions (the American
Dream) is not accomplished overnight.
To this basic context, we add the meaning of the eclipse. Solar eclipses
symbolize beginnings, while lunar eclipses imply culminations. The alignment of
this lunar eclipse with the outer-planet T-square reveals a peak period of six
months within the four years of the T-square where the “Ah-Ha!” of what’s
happening flowers into realization. Does this mean that the ruling elites will
recognize the folly of their efforts to restore the status quo? Hardly. They will
remain in stubborn denial until circumstances of mounting collapse finally make it
impossible to continue the illusion.
As oppositions, lunar eclipses represent awareness through polarity. The sign
axis of the full moon shows us the subject of concern and the mirror that
awakens. The Sun is in Cancer, which is also the “bull’s eye” of the T-square.
That tells us the personal security is the heart of the matter in this event. The
Moon is in Capricorn (conjoining Pluto), which reveals that what is bringing the
awakening into awareness is the institutional and financial meltdown.
With regard to the public consciousness, most of what’s happened so far has
been detached from our lives. Bank failures, trillions of new debt in bailouts,
markets imploding — all this makes headlines, but doesn’t necessarily impact the
day-to-day reality of ordinary people. This Eclipse/Grand Cross is the astrological
indicator of a change in that status. No longer will the concern and occasional
panic be confined only to Wall Street. From now on, Main Street feels the pinch,
and the fear. Quality of life for individuals and families is indeed threatened by
the institutional breakdown now underway. From this point on, personal security
is impacted by collective insecurity.
Does this mean that we can expect earth-shaking events over the next months?
Not necessarily. This shift in the archetype field is not a radical shift (as 2012 will
be), but instead is a culmination of existing symbolic forces. It is meaning hitting
home, which could take place intangibly, through a psychological-emotional shift
in perception.
We might start to see the repercussions of financial bailouts playing out through
rising inflation and a higher cost of living. Prices for food and fuel may begin an
upward spiral as the dollar is intentionally diluted by the bankers and the
government. Such a policy amounts to slow death, and the politicians and
bankers know this all too well, but it is the only option to keep our massive debt
at bay for awhile longer. The stock market’s downward spiral is already
underway, as are the bond markets, and the dollar has held up only because of
crises in the European Union. As the dollar depreciates, however, price inflation
for goods and services will soar.
The Eclipse/Grand Cross suggests that a significantly enlarged percentage of the
public is starting to feel the pinch in their own and their families’ lives. In short,
the repercussions of where we’re headed are sinking in. Over the summer, I
think we can expect to see a greater outpouring of public over the cascade of
breakdown events now unfolding, both in the media and in our day-to-day
interactions with others.
At the personal level, generalizations about meaning are impossible to focus. The
people most impacted by the Eclipse/Grand Cross are those who natal charts
contain significant symbols in the early degrees of cardinal signs, namely, 0-6° of
Aries, Cancer, Libra, or Capricorn. These are the same people — about 40% of
the total human population — who are already being bombarded by a triptych of
very personal and powerful outer-planet transits.
Though impossible to specify a single meaning for so many individuals with
uniquely custom-tailored lives and a radically different circumstances, we can at
least narrow the seemingly infinite range of possibilities by noting that early
Cancer is the small section of the zodiac that represents the target bull’s-eye of
this event. Whether or not you have one or more natal symbols early in cardinal
signs, the house associated with the initial six degrees of Cancer in your chart
will give a clue as to where in your life you might be emerging from denial or
unconsciousness and into the “Ah-Ha!” of new awareness. Also, since the Moon
is the natural ruler of Cancer, look to the Moon’s position by sign and house in
your chart to see secondary but associated meanings.” -Bill Herbst
Breathe and Be At Peace-Eclipse time
While the world is hurtling into massive change on all fronts, it will be very important now, especially at the first eclipse, June 26, to be at peace within yourself. Lighten up all of your activities and relax as much as possible. You may not believe it, but what you do affects the world consciousness. I remember years ago reading about a Tsunami in Japan that was caused by the fluttering of a butterfly’s wings in Canada.
The eclipse of June 26 is also a Grand Cross between some very potent planets. If you will stop worrying about your stuck little situations and breathe into a greater reality of healing and peace for the planet, you will have added greatly to helping instead of hindering. And this is not a time to lash out at others for your own limiting beliefs. This is a time to dream a bigger reality and love into your life and then to send that out into the world.
“The Cardinal T-Square, which at times will be a Grand Cross, is something we haven’t witnessed on this planet since history began. It’s big, and already it’s translating into sweeping events such as the BP oil spew, the eruption of Eyjafjallajökull volcano, escalation of the conflict in the Middle East, and global financial crises, to name a few. And we’re just getting started…” -Alison from Real Astrologers.

Be flexible! Don’t be too attached to the old familiar ways as things are about to heat up and change dramatically all around for everyone. Breathe in the fresh air of change and breathe out the old dusty past and bless it for it’s time is over!
“With Mars trine Pluto, Mercury quincunx Pluto, and Jupiter and Uranus both square Pluto, it will make for many major turns and twists forcing adjustments due to what’s coming up. This unlocks parts of the new archetypes through the decisions and reorientations we’re making.
Do not decide to do things against your best interests, keep bringing your excellence to the fore, avoid reckless behavior, and examine old hopes and dreams, allowing the best to come forth. There is Divine protection in the air, as well as inner powers and strengths to bring to the surface. Many will find Divine help when human efforts fail.
Keep it very simple, straightforward, pleasant and determined. Things set into motion in the past few weeks are moving forward, if not dramatically. Yet at times it will be very dramatic due to the major Aries-Capricorn squares going on! See the power in the symbols, find a new stability, and allow whatever needs to crumble to be blown away by new information and developments in motion.” -Robert Wilkinson
So, step up and get ready to fly into your glorious new life, it really is happening and it is now.
Love for us all!
1 commentPockets in Time-A New Look at Uranus in Aries
I spent a delightful morning with my dear friend Jill and her two magical children. It was a pocket in time of activity completely in the moment. The girls are loved and guided in a way many children don’t get anymore due to the stress in their parents lives. Therefore they are wildly creative and joy filled little beings.
Now that Uranus is giving us all a taste of what spontaneous creativity in the fiery sign of Aries is all about, we can expect a few of these pockets in our own lives more often.Time devoted to intense creativity that we perhaps haven’t allowed since we, too, were children. Hours devoted to new and eclectic activities will be presented for each person’s life. Plug back into the creativity of your youth before it was segued into responsibility and the death of dreams.
Uranus calls each persons individual creativity/light to be on center stage so that the world can evolve into a better place for all.
This summer dip your toes into the waters of creativity/change and let your inner child free to express-emote-play and delight not only yourself, but everyone that knows you. Be inspiring to yourself and others and don’t let anything hold you back. Your life is about to become a change filled kaleidoscope of possibilities! I remember a quote from years ago:
How long will you wait before you see yourself in your highest light and do what makes you truly happy? What will it take for you to open your heart and radiate outward the ocean of love which lies within you? You have been bound up too long, shackled to your fear, imprisoned by ghosts who are not real unless you make them so. The world needs you to be happy, to shine your light on all that you see, to laugh without limit, to touch the hearts and minds of every man, woman, and child who come your way.
Take a chance now and live life like you’ve always wanted. Envision yourself throwing off the fetters of fear, and calling unto you the glory that is yours by right of birth. Let your joy blaze like a fire in the night. That’s what the world needs from you.
And, more than that, that’s what you need from you.

1 commentWhere You Go……..There You Are…….
It can be so easy to blame external circumstances on our own unhappiness. But, truly, whatever makes us unhappy is inside of us, not outside. And with Uranus/Jupiter/Pluto/Saturn and soon Sun/Mercury stirring up your insides in June, you may want to look closely at yourself in a mirror and tell yourself the truth about who you are and what power you have to make it what you really want.
Found this quote in my email bag this morning and thought I’d share it with all of you.
“Break the patterns of unhappiness and helplessness by accepting a simple truth: when you leave that someone else (and it could be a lover, a spouse, a colleague, a boss, a parent, etc.), you are still stuck with whatever is inside of you that causes unhappiness.
That doesn’t make you bad or wrong. In fact, once you realize that the source of your unhappiness is within you, then you are in a position to change and transform that source.”

Movin’ Fast……………
and really appreciating the speed after such a slowed down late winter, early spring, thank all the retrogrades!
Here now, exhilarating in several transits, especially Uranus in Aries bumping up my 2nd House of talents/money. Creative juices flowing and so appreciating the forward movement. Breathing deeper and moving in gratitude, doesn’t get much better than that.
It may be very important to watch your focus as we change gears into Aries with Uranus and Jupiter on the 6th. If you are wanting to make major changes in a stale life, Uranus will give you a lot of help in changing, just be aware that it moves fast, is unpredictable and you need to be very flexible in order to reap the rewards. Jupiter will help greatly, but it too is a very expansive energy and you will need to keep up.
Any of the healing modalities that strengthen your body like yoga/tai chi/qi gong, will be good now and help us all segue into our higher natures.
Time to get out of small thinking and limiting beliefs and into “anything is possible”, because it is and you don’t want to miss this.
A Sizzling Summer with Uranus & Jupiter
I think sometimes it will feel like 2 old buddies out for a good time that gets a little out of hand. Other times we will be amazed by the unusual dramas that people are going through. Look for creative independence and seizing dreams in a big way from people you didn’t know had it in them.
I’m clueless as to how people will respond myself included, although I am certainly making plans and focusing on how to achieve greatness from these powerful Planets.
The aspects they will be forming to other planets during this summer will be the stuff of legends and who knows where anyone will land, but at least expect the unexpected.
I’ve been asked how best to take advantage of the added power and all I can say is be your own unique self, believe in your abilities, your dreams and don’t hold back. Much more on this later…………………………………
No commentsHappy Mother’s Day
I found this on line……….so cool!
The original Mother’s Day Proclamation was as follows:
Arise then…women of this day!
Arise, all women who have hearts!
Whether your baptism be of water or of tears!
Say firmly:
“We will not have questions answered by irrelevant agencies,
Our husbands will not come to us, reeking with carnage,
For caresses and applause.
Our sons shall not be taken from us to unlearn
All that we have been able to teach them of charity, mercy and patience.
We, the women of one country,
Will be too tender of those of another country
To allow our sons to be trained to injure theirs.
From the voice of a devastated Earth a voice goes up with
Our own. It says: “Disarm! Disarm!
The sword of murder is not the balance of justice.
Blood does not wipe our dishonor,
Nor violence indicate possession.
As men have often forsaken the plough and the anvil
At the summons of war,
Let women now leave all that may be left of home
For a great and earnest day of counsel.
Let them meet first, as women, to bewail and commemorate the dead.
Let them solemnly take counsel with each other as to the means
Whereby the great human family can live in peace…
Each bearing after his own time the sacred impress, not of Caesar,
But of God -
In the name of womanhood and humanity, I earnestly ask
That a general congress of women without limit of nationality,
May be appointed and held at someplace deemed most convenient
And the earliest period consistent with its objects,
To promote the alliance of the different nationalities,
The amicable settlement of international questions,
The great and general interests of peace.
(Early “Mother’s Day” was mostly marked by women’s peace groups. A common early activity was the meeting of groups of mothers whose sons had fought or died on opposite sides of the American Civil War.)

“Imagine”
by John Lennon
Imagine there’s no heaven
It’s easy if you try
No hell below us
Above us only sky
Imagine all the people
Living for today…
Imagine there’s no countries
It isn’t hard to do
Nothing to kill or die for
And no religion too
Imagine all the people
Living life in peace…
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will be as one
Imagine no possessions
I wonder if you can
No need for greed or hunger
A brotherhood of man
Imagine all the people
Sharing all the world…
You may say I’m a dreamer
But I’m not the only one
I hope someday you’ll join us
And the world will live as one
Is That Milk You Are Drinking?
I have long been an advocate of not drinking pastuerized milk as that process kills anything that is good for you. This morning I opened my email bag and there was this article that I thought I would share with you:
“First of all, please understand that I do not recommend drinking pasteurized milk of any kind – ever. Because once milk has been pasteurized it’s more or less “dead,” and offers little in terms of real nutritional value to anyone, whether you show signs of intolerance to the milk or not.
Valuable enzymes are destroyed, vitamins (such as A, C, B6 and B12) are diminished, fragile milk proteins are radically transformed from health nurturing to unnatural amino acid configurations that can actually worsen your health. Finally the eradication of beneficial bacteria through the pasteurization process actually ends up promoting pathogens.
The healthy alternative to pasteurized milk is raw milk, which is an outstanding source of nutrients including beneficial bacteria such as lactobacillus acidophilus, vitamins and enzymes, and it is, in my estimation, one of the finest sources of calcium available.
Raw milk is generally not associated with the health problems linked to pasteurized milk, and even people who have been allergic to pasteurized milk for many years can typically tolerate and even thrive on raw milk.
However, some people may still experience problems, such as upper respiratory congestion, when drinking raw milk, and the difference between the breeds of cows the milk comes from appears to hold the answer.”

A Little Lighter…………..
Now that the Saturn/Pluto square has moved on….. but do get ready for this summer. There will be opportunity for radical change on a personal and global level, more than we have seen in many a year. It will definitely be a time of nose to the grindstone to crank out your dreams or go down with your rigid/stuck negativity. There will be so many “miracles” around, you might as well grab yours. It just takes effort to move in the direction of your dreams by taking action. Action is the key word. Dreams won’t manifest without the action.
Enjoy this Mercury retrograde as a time to plan, rest and rethink some of your ideas for a happier life. Great change is afoot and this is a glorious time to be alive!
“Saturn is now out of the square orb with Pluto, so that’s not really a factor in this RX period. However, the on-going Saturn opposition Uranus in some ways anticipates the expansions and breakthroughs indicated by Jupiter conjunct Uranus opposing Saturn beginning now and lasting through late Summer. This begins the wild ride of the Cardinal squares and crosses I’ve been writing about for years, so get ready!
Mercury retrograde is good for reworking, rehearsing, rethinking, researching, or finding a different approach to whatever is not well understood. It’s also great for busting lies and misconceptions, though if you have the misfortune of dealing with someone operating from a delusion, they still may not get what’s right in front of their face. In that case, let them go and apply your energies to more worthy relationships and endeavors.” Wilkinson
No comments2010-Nepantla
An old friend emailed me this morning and asked how I was doing with nepantla. I had never heard of the word, so she sent me this description. A very intuitive woman.
“‘Nepantla’ is a Nahuatl word meaning. “in-between space.”
During nepantla, our worldviews and self-identities are shattered. Nepantla is painful, messy, confusing, and chaotic; it signals unexpected, uncontrollable shifts, transitions, and changes. Nepantla hurts!!!!
But nepantla is also a time of self-reflection, choice, and potential growth—what Anzaldúa describes as opportunities to “see through” restrictive cultural and personal scripts.
Nepantla includes both radical dis-identification and transformation. We dis-identify with existing beliefs, social structures, and models of identity; by so doing, we are able to transform these existing conditions.”
Pretty much sums it up. Although I might add that during these “messy” times of change we are being offered enormous potential for fulfilling our true hearts desires, we just have to discover what those really are.
No commentsNow
The world truly is changing before our eyes and nobody knows where it is going to fall apart next, so I really think we need to just garden more, play more and be as helpful to one another as we can. No big plans just be a lot simpler in our approach and not make things so heavy all the time. Not sure why we are addicted to heaviness.
At least spring is dancing before us, the little tease, but she has to come or at least paves the way for her sister summer.
2 commentsThe Blame Game
When I was in my twenties I wanted to blame someone for why I wasn’t happy/rich etc, so I looked to my parents and saw all of their failings and decided it was their fault. Fortunately I outgrew that and woke up enough to realize we all create our own reality by the thoughts we choose to think, it is always a choice. Although my own children never blamed me for their problems (that I know of), I have assumed some guilt for their struggles and wished I had been a better parent. Now, I don’t feel that way as I look at the relationship dance that all human beings go through and how we grow by looking closer at ourselves, assuming full responsibility and accountability.
Today I opened the email and found the below comment and it made me laugh out loud……….thought you might like it too.
“Question: My grown son still blames me for having caused him pain when he was growing up, and he keeps bringing it up when we are together. I know I could have done things better, but I can’t go back and change the past. Is there anything I can do here?
J-R: You could tell him that if you have caused him any pain, he is smart enough now to get over it and make it an experience from which he can gain much wisdom.”

(From: Fulfilling Your Spiritual Promise, p. 1115)
Quiet Beginnings
Although patience has been a spiritual practice of mine and many in this life, mine has been worn a little thin.
As I sit and look out at the new fallen snow on the 1st day of spring in a long succession of snow since November, I am not the same person I was back then.
Several difficult transformations, or letting go, have pushed me out of my comfort zone and I’m not sure who this person is yet.
It is not comfortable to have a new skin in later years.
Something was at work deep inside throughout 2009/2010. And now there is no going back to a life that was shrouded in the past.
I wonder what this new life will look like? Even my diet is changing, again. Pleasures of the past don’t excite anymore. Looking around quietly to see where I want to go.
In the grand scheme of things I wish to be more involved with the healing of the planet. On a smaller plane I just want to be comfortable in uncomfortable times.
Brave New World was a book I read in high school and now I am here.
“Over the last several months we’ve found wisdom while understanding Nature’s cycles and continued our journey away from “a narrow destiny” and “routine duties.” We’ve purified our personalities so we could find a more effective Soul expression, and had opportunities to accept power or Grace to take the lead in our world. We’re now in the final months of consolidating our Saturn in Libra lessons while finishing our Saturn in Virgo lessons.
It took a few hundred years to poison this Earth, so it may take a decade or two to reverse the negative exploitive destructive thoughtforms that are rampant today. Still, the effort is worth our lives and “our sacred honor,” since if we don’t, we’ll wake up on the other side someday and wonder why we didn’t take advantage of our opportunity to create a better world for our children, grandchildren, and all sentient Beings to come.” -Wilkinson
Be At Peace – Always
This morning as the day loomed before me and I tried to see how I could make it a little more fun, I found something I had written before and decided to re-publish it as it just made my heart sing!
I have been so very blessed in this life and I am really feeling that this morning. A spiritual path/journey has been a golden thread woven throughout. And even though I become consumed with karmic dancing with others, falling into gloomy pits of depression and other human frailties, the one thing that stands as a beacon in my life are the amazing Teachers who remind me of my universality and connectedness to it all.
I awoke this morning to a personal message from a Teacher I respect as one of the Greats of our time. It took me up and out of life’s minutiae and there I was having one spiritual experience after another all linked from my earliest years, the wisdom thread that holds my life together.
As a small child in the Catholic Church I felt Jesus and the amazing joy of his graceful/playful presence. As I grew and evolved the beauty of Buddha’s wisdom enveloped me. The loving and playful Krishna and the many forms of god’s face thru Hinduism embraced my soul. There have been so many wise Teachers on my path. I pause to send my gratitude to them all now, and especially to Jesus, Mary, C.C. Zain, Edgar Cayce, Hildegaard VonBingen, Yogananda, Amrit Desai, Kripalu, Genevieve Lewis Paulson, Golden, Robert Waterman, Robert Wilkinson and the magic in every moment of my life.
I am a child of the Universe and I bow at your feet……….Jai, Om, Shanti…………….Namaste to all.

I’m not much of a TV person. Seems like a waste of time to sit there for hours watching fake life. I do love the Discovery Channel and the History Channel and sometimes PBS, but not enough to pay the exorbitant price.
There has been a lot written about what TV is doing to our children etc., so when I found this little commentary by a great astrologer, I thought I’d share it:
“What is the product of the television industry?
The first (and incorrect) answer that most people come up with is TV shows. No, the content of television programming—TV shows, movies, news, etc.—is not the product—it’s the bait on the hook. The actual, no-kidding product of television is captive viewers, who are then packaged into demographic groups and sold to advertisers for revenue. The fantasies of advertising are ideally suited to the hypnotic impact of television to implant consumers with desires for products.
Basically, television replaces reality with a hologram that appears to be reality but isn’t. Everything on television is fiction. Everything.
Which brings us to corporations, the monsters of the midway. They sell the
hammers that drive the nails into the coffin of alienation. Corporations don’t like human beings, and they sure as hell have no use for human empathy and togetherness. They want obsequious worker bees and docile, compliant consumers.” -Bill Herbst
Time
I have been grappling with time management and desires. What do I want to do today? Do I have to do anything I don’t like? Can’t I just go play? A funny little stuck place that inhibits growth. That’s because I believe growth is forward moving and action etc. But on further introspection I see that this limbo type place is full of lessons. The first one I see is fear of moving for fear of making a mistake. A thought pattern that says if I just sit still nothing bad will happen to me. Then frustration at not being in control smiles at me and I just have to sigh and remember that nothing happens unless I make it so.
Yogananda was one of my greatest teachers and he has this to say about time:
“Very few of us know how much we can put into life if we use it properly, wisely, and economically. Let us economize our time — lifetimes ebb away before we wake up, and that is why we do not realize the value of the immortal time God has given us.”

2 commentsTough Aspect For All-Saturn Square Pluto
I’m pasting some very good information about what is going on in your life right now and in the world. Saturn square Pluto is a tough aspect! You can see that major changes need to occur in your life but it is difficult for that to happen. R. Hand describes this, “…your ambition for your work may be frustrated. Bosses or coworkers may try to prevent you from accomplishing what you want. Financially, you will probably have to curb expenses. Sometimes the experiences of this transit is much like struggling against chains that hold you down.”
Well, the Borg’s told us that “resistance is futile” and so it is at this time. There will be many obstacles to overcome during this time because this is a time to eliminate the unnecessary in your life. Pluto rules breakdown and regeneration. If you work with this it will turn out positively, if not, quite negative. You will be a lot stronger when this transit is passed.
…….”From a practical, “real world” angle, these multiple “expansion through sacrifice” energies have triggered some very “hard adjustments” and forced some major shifts in whatever life areas they influence. Let’s take a look at just a few things that have been going on during this time of interlocking Yods.
First, the Vancouver Olympics with their equipment malfunctions, weather issues, ticket cancellations, and safety problems. They began with the death of Georgian luger Nodar Kumaritashvili last Friday, forcing a rearranging of the luge course to slow things down. Then the games began with one of the columns of the Olympic flame not rising as it should.
The weather has totally messed up the Alpine schedule, wiping out the first two races on the opening weekend of the games as well as a bunch of training runs necessary in order to hold actual races. This is because Cypress Mountain, site of freestyle skiing and snowboarding, has not had enough snow.
Organizers covered the course with hay bales and dumped snow on top, but heavy rains washed much of it away. Organizers then canceled tickets for all snowboard events — men’s and women’s snowboard cross, halfpipe and parallel giant slaloms. That’s six events with no spectators lining the course, a total of 28,000 tickets requiring refunds of $1.5 million.
The reason? The snow washed away to the point where people were sinking up to their knees, and in some case even deeper, putting many spectators in very unsafe conditions.
Fans can’t get into events for which they bought tickets, and can’t even see the Olympic cauldron since it’s a restricted area, creating mass discontent. Athletes are competing in less than stellar conditions — Tuesday’s snowboard cross competition was a fall-riddled nightmare, and the speedskaters were less than pleased to be kept waiting to compete Monday night because of a malfunctioning ice-resurfacing machine. Or, like the Alpine skiers, they aren’t competing at all, or even getting in training runs.
I couldn’t help but note while viewing the couples figure skating competitions that I’ve never seen so many falls in any Olympics I’ve ever viewed. The judges were actually awarding high marks even when one or both skaters fell in any number of ways. I believe it’s because skaters are always pushing to exceed the old standards, and some jumps they’re attempting are almost impossible anyway. It’s easy to see how some adjustments might be in order just to keep from falling on their bums. The judges sure had to adjust their standards relative to past Olympics!
Besides the Olympic mess, there have been other major events going on as well. There is the seemingly never-ending stream of bad news for Toyota, with multiple brand recalls for a fairly large spectrum of problems. We’ve also seen many announcements of retirements from the US Congress including an unexpected death due to complications from surgery. (Update: There are 45 so far, one of the largest waves of retirements in history!)
The Taliban’s number 2 guy has been captured along with several Taliban “Shadow Governors,” the Ukranian election results have been suspended amid allegations of fraud, and in a very bizarre turn, an Alabama college professor went berserk and killed several colleagues. Upon further investigation, it has been found she killed her brother years ago in very peculiar circumstances, and was even a suspect in a bomb plot at another university a while back!
I’m sure there are more events that are indicative of Saturn square Pluto with multiple interlocking quincunx energies, but these are the ones that have happened so far that I know of. Oh yes, and one of my favorite poets died, Lucille Clifton.
It would seem that the times are truly a wild ride, with more to come once Mars goes direct!”

The Light That Came to Lucille Clifton
Sad to say, I had never heard of Lucille Clifton before this morning. As I perused one of my favorite astrology sites, an ode to a famous poet who just passed. I will gladly search for any of her published material. Enjoy……..
the light that came to lucille clifton
came in a shift of knowing
when even her fondest sureties
faded away. it was the summer
she understood that she had not understood
and was not mistress even
of her own off eye, then
the man escaped throwing away his tie and
the children grew legs and started walking and
she could see the peril of an
unexamined life.
she closed her eyes, afraid to look for her
authenticity
but the light insists on itself in the world;
a voice from the nondead past started talking,
she closed her ears and it spelled out in her hand
“you might as well answer the door, my child,
the truth is furiously knocking.”
Moving Into The Year……
As we move, somewhat sluggishly, into 2010 there is a felt quickening in the air (Pluto in Capricorn) and soon the rapid fire changes (Uranus in Aries) that we have so impatiently been stamping our foot at, will be here.
Last minute checks to see if you have clearly stated what you want from this year (Mars retrograde). Be thorough, look at every part of your life. Do you want a garden? Perhaps rescue a shelter animal? Do you need to change your career? Do you need to move, or take a vacation? Want different friends?
Surfing on the winds of change (Uranus) will help you now, don’t bury your head………breathe, expand, open to your greater potential and the even greater reality that we are all birthing here. A reality of equality, acceptance of all, tolerance and the abolition of fear. A reality that supports everyone in all of their uniqueness and creativity.
This is the time of planning and re-planning (Saturn & Mars Rx) till we burst through to Spring’s great activity (Mars goes direct on 3/10), you can smell it in the air. This is an exciting time, believe in yourself and break on through to the other side……….
Wheeeeeeeeeeeeee
On Men & Women as Valentine’s Day Approaches…..
“A man will treat a woman almost exactly the way he treats his own interior feminine. In fact, he hasn’t the ability to see a woman, objectively speaking, until he has made some kind of peace with his interior woman.”
-Robert Johnson, Jungian Analyst
I stumbled across this quote this morning and it made a huge impact on me. What a nice way to look at this. In fact, reverse it and say the same about a woman.
The dance of the sexes……….I believe more has been written about this than any other topic. Hopefully as we move into the greater evolution that is upon us, we can all make peace with our own interior men and women and come out equals at last.
2 commentsThe End of the World
Not so much really, and I think everyone is starting to get that. Fortunately we still have some freedom of speech in this country and many who are evolving rapidly in the spiritual realms are helping to spread the word. Wake up. Step up. Move up…………it’s time to leave the negativity of your life behind and get healed.
Sometimes that healing doesn’t look like it, it can look like illness and anger and sorrow, but you are just cleansing in order to be in a higher state and closer to God/Light.
Bill Herbst is a great astrologer and has this comment about these times:
“Civilization is not coming to an end, just the mistaken and childish directions
we’ve been on for quite awhile. The challenging, difficult, and sometimes
agonizing work to reform and rebuild healthier families and societies, to create
better, more sustainable models for commerce and finance, and to evolve into
responsible shepherds of the ecosphere that supports us and all life begins in the
2010s. The decade we have just entered will serve us notice that our collective
childhood and disturbed adolescence must end.
The Uranus-Pluto conjunction of the 1960s brought our species’ first baby steps
toward a new and better world. The 2010s are only the second step, where we
leave adolescence and accept the enlarged responsibilities of young adulthood.
The 2040s and 2070s will take the work further, into full adulthood and senior
maturity. Our collective performance throughout the century will reveal whether
we are indeed operating with sufficiently enlarged empathy and wisdom, as well
as renewed reverence. One step at a time.” –Bill Herbst, Astrologer extra-ordinaire
The Original Our Father in Aramic
I am particularly fond of research and reading about the original Bible, not the generally used one of today. Years ago when the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered and then bit by bit information was released, I was amazed at what one simple word change could make in a statement. For instance, when it says “The meek shall inherit the earth”, the original translation was “awake or aware”. I never understood why being meek would work, not in my nature anyway, so that was an important puzzle piece for me to hear.
I love the translation of the Our Father and I use it often. I find the words holy and I say them very slowly and with meaning. Now, I have a very beautiful addition to that prayer that fits more with what I believe.
Enjoy, Sue
The Lord’s Prayer in Aramaic, the language in which it was originally spoken…
O Breathing Life, your Name shines everywhere!
Release a space to plant your Presence here.
Envision your “I Can” now.
Embody your desire in every light and form.
Grow through us this moment’s bread and wisdom.
Untie the knots of failure binding us, as we release the strands we hold of others’ faults.
Help us not forget our Source, yet free us from not being in the Present.
From you arises every vision, power, and song, from gathering to gathering.
Amen: may our future actions grow from here.
Neil Douglas-Klotz – translation
No commentsAstrologically from Robert………….
We’ve now made it through the first opposition, with Sun opposition Mars still occurring between now and Friday’s Full Moon. This is the eye of the storm, with heart strength and a greater sense of higher purpose the rewards for those who persevere.
Figure out what needs to be done to keep things moving forward, and be deliberate in continuing to “gather your medicine” so that your heart is strengthened in association with others who share that magnetic solar fire. The momentum is about to quicken in our affairs, though there will be adjustments and sacrifices in the very near future.
Keep your eye on the prize despite momentary interruptions and deflecting distractions during this time of slowest momentum. Fit things into a long range perspective while beginning to do what must be done to renew and/or complete what was started Autumn 2009.
Been a bit down and wondering what to do next….so, of course found this piece by Robert and can see a little bit better. Might need more patience, I don’t know, these are some odd energies we are all in. You may be experiencing it in really good ways, but many are stuck in the letting go process I’ve noticed.
“Play with ideas, see the source of all ideas, and explore the inner connections with All-That-Is to receive new inspirations that will help you plan anew, knowing you have “made it through the night.” For those who have strived for many months, the tide is about to turn. February 8-18 completes the process of transfiguration.
We all have much to learn from the subtle world and its signals during this time of Jupiter in Pisces. Having needed protection from unnecessarily aggressive human elements, now we can experience our indestructibility as we move into more complex relationships that will help us master any lingering tendencies toward discouragement.
Overall, this polarization/realization process we’re going through is preparing us for the new energies emerging this coming June. It’s as though what’s going on is creating a powerful void that we will fill each in our own way beginning June 2010 that will re-shape our personal and collective world in 2011.
This is the time to see things as realistically as possible, stay focused on long term goals and friendships, make preparatory actions, and get ready as things begin to roll forward in dynamic ways by mid-February.” -Robert Wilkinson
