The Atman
From the book How to Know God by Swami Prabhavananda and Christopher Isherwood
Knowledge or perception is a thought-wave (vritti) in the mind. All knowledge is therefore objective. Even what Western psychologists call introspection or self knowledge is objective knowledge according to Patanjali, since the mind is not the seer, but only an instrument of knowledge, an object of perception like the outside world. The Atman, the real seer, remains unknown.
Every perception arouses the ego-sense, which says: “I know this.” But this is the ego speaking, not the Atman, the real Self. The ego-sense is caused by the identification of the Atman with the mind, senses, etc. It is as if a little electric light bulb would declare: “I am the electric current” and then proceed to describe electricity as a pear shaped glass object containing filaments of wire. Such identification is absurd – as absurd as the ego’s claim to be the real Self. Nevertheless, the electric current is present in the light bulb, and the Atman is in all things, everywhere.
Timeless Presence
Early morning musings brought me to myself………….why was I complaining of the cool weather? Breathing deeper, opening up to find that answer, I felt a timeless presence all around me and I became a part of it.
Moondog walking down the garden path alerts the cardinal sentinel fiercely guarding the lilac bush full of baby treasures……….miniature wrens dive bombing anything that comes close to their chirping nest………….poor kitty, the garden is hostile to his meanderings this morning.
And I sit and find peace in this timeless presence, saved from thoughts of the past and future for now.
Commit
“Until one is committed, there is hesitancy, the chance to draw back, always ineffectiveness…the moment one definitely commits oneself, then providence moves, too. All sorts of things occur to help one that would never otherwise have occurred… Whatever you can do or dream you can, begin it! Boldness has genius, power, and magic in it.” -Goethe

Feel Good
Most of you know that I don’t forward “feel good” things unless I believe they are real. This little video clip really touched me and I thank the person who sent it to me.
Oddly enough it is exactly what I am working on in my life at this time………..how to spread more love, good cheer and happiness by small actions.

The Seven Planes of Consciousness and Matter
by Robert Wilkinson
All we know is vibration. From the grossest to the subtlest, the densest to the most ethereal, everything we think, feel, perceive or imagine is vibration. We are told in “esoteric philosophy” that there are 7 “frequency zones” that describe our entire reality and that which is beyond. Today we begin an exploration of what are called the “7 Planes” of our individual and collective existence.
We begin with the dense Physical Plane. This is the plane of matter in all its forms, where all physical structures exist. The second Plane, more subtle than the Physical, is the Astral, or emotional plane. This is the plane of feeling, less dense than the Physical, but more dense than the next plane, the Mental plane.
The Mental Plane is the plane of thought, and is divided into two areas, the Lower Mental and the Higher Mental. The lower mind shows as logical, rational thinking, concrete thoughts about things, feeling, and ideas. The Higher mind is the arena of abstract or subtle thoughts, ideals, aspirations, and philosophical awarenesses.
The 4th Plane is the even more subtle and rarified Buddhic Plane, or Plane of Soul. These are the higher, subtle, evolved loving feelings that we all have all the time, even when the lower thoughts, feelings, and things momentarily distract us from these higher loving feelings. These feelings are altruistic, compassionate, and powerful. This plane is where we are naturally lovingly wise and wisely loving.
The 5th Plane is the Atmic Plance, or the Plane of Spirit. While virtually unsubstantial in a physical, emotional, or mental sense, it is the Plane where “the spark that ignites” originates, inspiring us and changing our lives forever. Some are never sensitive to this plane while alive, while others are touched by it once or even many times.
The 6th Plane is called the Monadic Plane, our Oneness beyond division, our “Father-Mother God in Heaven which is ONE indivisible.” This is the Plane of our Divine Archetype. When we pray to Deity, it is this plane we seek to experience and see made manifest. It is associated with the “Anupadaka,” from the Sanskrit “parentless”, “self-existing”, a self-created arising of Eternal existence.
The 7th Plane has no name other than the Divine Plane. It is associated with the “Adi,” from the Sanskrit “the first.” Other possible associations are “the original,” “the creator,” “the Source,” and “the beginning of existence.”
Since all vibration is interpenetrating, it is useful to see these not as linear rankings of levels, but as co-existing states of consciousness. We can be thinking, feeling, and acting all at the same time, as well as being loving and inspired. From one point of view, we are all existing on all the levels and Planes simultaneously all the time.
Also, besides all these levels of awareness being active all the time at the same time in all of us, each of these has 7 subplanes within its frequency zone. Thus there is a physical sub-plane, an emotional sub-plane, a mental sub-plane, a Buddhic sub-plane and so forth in each of the 7 Great Planes of Consciousness.
Each sub-plane is a distinct frequency zone in itself. For example, the physical sub-plane of the Physical Plane is matter, the astral subplane of the Physical is water and other liquids, the mental sub-plane of the Physical is air, the Buddhic sub-plane and higher are the sub-planes of Ether in its various stages.
The physical sub-plane of the Astral are dense feelings, often referred to as “emotional thoughtforms.” The astral sub-plane of the Astral plane are feelings about feelings, while the mental sub-plane of the Astral are feelings about thoughts, or feeling-infused thoughts. There are feelings about Soul and “higher” feelings, feelings about inspiration and oneness, and feelings about the unknown.
And so it goes, with each Plane having distinct sub-frequencies with their specialized qualities. Various sub-planes resonate with various other sub-planes, as well as Planes, much as certain notes on a piano resonate with other notes, since many similar notes are shared between various keys which may or may not be in harmony or discord with one another.
Obviously, each of these is associated with all kinds of other “7 fold” divisions and classifications of our reality, such as I outlined in the article on the 7 Rays, but they are beyond the scope of this article. For now, enjoy reflecting on what you’ve read here, and if possible, allow yourself to experience the higher, more subtle planes of existence as well as the lower ones. Sense the differences between your higher thoughts and lower ones, your higher feelings and your lower ones. You can do this in meditation quite easily. They’re all there for you to experience as often as you like.

The Cure Grows Close To The Poison
This is something any Herbalist or even Botanist can tell you, the cure for things like stinging nettles, poison oak, poison ivy etc., grows right there with the offending plant. And it is also true of our life’s lessons. Look around today at whatever “problem” seems to be plaguing you and see if the solution is right there in front of you. Don’t dig too deep or look for complicated answers…….it’s a lot easier than that. Look for the obvious, it’s right in front of you.

Why Should You Care About Pesticides?
The growing consensus among scientists is that small doses of pesticides and other chemicals can cause lasting damage to human health, especially during fetal development and early childhood.Scientists now know enough about the long-term consequences of ingesting these powerful chemicals to advise that we minimize our consumption of pesticides.
What’s the Difference?
EWG research has found that people who eat the 12 most contami¬nated fruits and vegetables consume an average of 10 pesticides a day. Those who eat the 15 least contaminated conventionally-grown fruits and vegetables ingest fewer than 2 pesticides daily. The Guide helps consumers make informed choices to lower their dietary pesticide load.
Will Washing and Peeling Help?
Nearly all the studies used to create these lists assume that people rinse or peel fresh produce. Rinsing reduces but does not eliminate pesticides. Peeling helps, but valuable nutrients often go down the drain with the skin. The best approach: eat a varied diet, rinse all produce and buy organic when possible.
How Was This Guide Developed?
EWG analysts have developed the Guide based on data from nearly 87,000 tests for pesticide residues in produce conducted between 2000 and 2007 and collected by the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the U.S. Food and Drug Administration. You can find a detailed description of the criteria EWG used to develop these rankings and the complete list of fruits and vegetables tested at our dedicated website, www.foodnews.org.

1 commentMonsanto verses Organic Farming
I just finished watching the video clips on Youtube.com about the organic farming bill that is trying to get passed into law very soon. This is such a blatant, vile and outrageous attempt on the part of big corporations (Monsanto) that I am afraid they will get it passed. What does that mean for all of us? Watch the video clips and if you are as outraged as I am, sign the petition and then send this email out to everyone that cares about the food they eat. If we are to sustain an equitable society, global not local, we cannot allow corporations to have this kind of power anymore. The power of a society belongs to the people who make up that society. Speak and be part of the solution, or be quiet and become part of the controlled masses without representation or choice.
US House and Senate are about (in one week!) to vote on bill that will OUTLAW ORGANIC FARMING (bill HR 875). There is an enormous rush to get this into law within the next 2 weeks before people realize what is happening.
Main backer and lobbyist is (guess who) Monsanto – chemical and genetic engineering giant corporation. This bill will require organic farms to use specific fertilizers and poisonous insect sprays dictated by the newly formed agency to “make sure there is no danger to the
public food supply”. This will include backyard gardens that grow food only for a family and not for sales.
If this passes then NO more heirloom clean seeds but only Monsanto genetically altered seeds that are now showing up with unexpected diseases in humans.
There is a video on the subject.

No commentsFull Moon in Libra
This is a grand Full Moon in Libra. I love full moons, they bring out a spirited energy for me and things just seem bigger and more doable! This one should be like walking through a door and finding a whole new world you had overlooked!
This full moon asks you to network with like minded people around you. It also asks you to cooperate in justice for all and that would include ecological justice for the community/planet.
It’s a great relationship Full Moon and due to other planetary aspects you may find your heart wide open to receive more love and also to give it. It may even open your eyes to seeing what is “not love” all around you. A fine time to start letting go of those things/people etc. If you are not spiritually connected to someone, they need to go.
If you find some obstacles at this time, and maybe become a little dispirited about your situation, you probably need a closer look at what needs to be pruned from your life. Letting go can be hard, but it is essential now. Libra helps you gracefully and smoothly transition, take advantage of that energy. Even Pluto is behaving and nothing will be “ripped” away from you, but you only have a brief respite, so get to work now.
If you do find yourself in a bit of a funk around this Full Moon (4 days before and after today) use this funk to break up old negativities in your life, if it doesn’t make you happy/satisfied/hopeful etc. dump it! Just stay centered, keep your cool it all changes so fast anyway and if you lose your center you will be tossed about like a leaf on the wind.
This is a time to trust your intuitions and then act on them. This is not a time to doubt yourself. See what you want, get a clear idea of it, begin taking action no matter how small and move in the direction of your dreams or goals.
As with many of the astro vibrations right now, this is about revolutionizing your life which will help all to revolutionize their lives and so the ripple flows out to the world and voila! The paradise we dream about, peace, community, the end to poverty and disease………….a small attempt on your part and the world becomes a better place. Never discount your actions, your dreams and the effect they have on it all.

No commentsThe Hundredth Monkey
“The Hundredth Monkey” is a story that inspired antinuclear activists to keep on keeping on, when the commonsense view was that the nuclear arms race could not be stopped. Ken Keyes, Jr. writes:
“Off the shore of Japan, scientists had been studying monkey colonies on many separate islands for over thirty years. In order to keep track of the monkeys, they would lure them out of the trees by dropping sweet potatoes on the beach. The monkeys came to enjoy this free lunch, and were in plain sight where they could be observed. One day, an eighteen month old female monkey named Imo started to wash her sweet potatoes in the sea before eating it. I imagine that it tasted better without the grit and sand or pesticides, or maybe it even was slightly salty and that was good. Imo showed her playmates and her mother how to do this, her friends showed their mothers, and gradually more and more monkeys began to wash their sweet potatoes instead of eating them grit and all. At first, only the female adults who imitated their children learned, but gradually others did also.
One day, the scientists observed that all the monkeys on that particular island washed their sweet potatoes before eating them. Although this was significant, what was even more fascinating was that this change in monkey behavior did not take place only on this one island. Suddenly, the monkeys on all the other islands were now washing their sweet potatoes as well – despite the fact that monkey colonies on the different islands had no direct contact with each other.”
Never underestimate your ability to effect change locally and globally, do your part and it spreads out and soon the world will have peace.
Winter Solstice 2008
As I sit here this morning I’m pondering on events that give meaning to our lives. Today is one of those that has been lost in our country to most, The Winter Solstice. Solstices mark transitions. Now we transit from the long dark into the renewal of spring……ck out this site for great info on the history of the winter solstice: http://www.brownielocks.com/wintersolstice.html
Now is the time to look back over 2008 and see where you have come. What has left your life to make room for the new? Prepare to welcome in the new and potentially brighter year with fresh opportunity for anything you want in your life. It is a very powerful time to perform a meaningful ritual. I have had some of the most powerful spiritual experiences practicing ritual at the solstices.
I’ve just completed a great one. I wrote down on two separate pieces of paper what I want to let go of in 2009 and what I want to come in. I went out into the pristine snow of early morning winter sunrise, breathed in that crisp air, burned the pages, breathed in relief and hope and fresh air and felt completely renewed! I kept a copy and put it in my astro ephemeris for 12/09. It’s good to look back and see what you have accomplished. And amazing how accurate these little letting goes and inviting ins are!
May your 2009 be more than you hoped for and may the energies flow through you peacefully with grace and ease.

A Rather Defining Moment in History
From TruthOut.org an extremely important article, “The World at 350: A Last Chance for Civilization” by Bill McKibben originally posted at TomDispatch.com that outlines what confronts us all. The coming crises will definitely unify many as the selfish deluded polluters grab all they can and governments continue to bloviate about trivialities while coastlines flood, superstorms sweep our Earth (checked the news lately?), and major upheaval transforms our physical, emotional, and mental reality.
If you think that sounds dramatic or exaggerated, consider a few pieces from the article:
Hansen cites six irreversible tipping points – massive sea level rise and huge changes in rainfall patterns, among them – that we’ll pass if we don’t get back down to 350 soon; and the first of them, judging by last summer’s insane melt of Arctic ice, may already be behind us…. Instead of slowing down, we’re pouring on the coal, quite literally. Two weeks ago came the news that atmospheric carbon dioxide had jumped 2.4 parts per million last year – two decades ago, it was going up barely half that fast….
And suddenly, the news arrives that the amount of methane, another potent greenhouse gas, accumulating in the atmosphere, has unexpectedly begun to soar as well. Apparently, we’ve managed to warm the far north enough to start melting huge patches of permafrost and massive quantities of methane trapped beneath it have begun to bubble forth.
Here’s the thing. Hansen didn’t just say that, if we didn’t act, there was trouble coming; or, if we didn’t yet know what was best for us, we’d certainly be better off below 350 ppm of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere. His phrase was: “… if we wish to preserve a planet similar to that on which civilization developed.” A planet with billions of people living near those oh-so-floodable coastlines. A planet with ever more vulnerable forests. (A beetle, encouraged by warmer temperatures, has already managed to kill 10 times more trees than in any previous infestation across the northern reaches of Canada this year. This means far more carbon heading for the atmosphere and apparently dooms Canada’s efforts to comply with the Kyoto Protocol, already in doubt because of its decision to start producing oil for the U.S. from Alberta’s tar sands.)
Here’s one of several punch lines to this article:
“And we have, at best, a few years… to reverse course. Here’s the Indian scientist and economist Rajendra Pachauri, who accepted the Nobel Prize on behalf of the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change last year (and, by the way, got his job when the Bush administration, at the behest of Exxon Mobil, forced out his predecessor): “If there’s no action before 2012, that’s too late. What we do in the next two to three years will determine our future. This is the defining moment.” – from The Aquarius Papers website.
After I read the above I picked up a book I’ve started reading by Eckhart Tolle called “A New Earth”. Reading this book gets me out of the fear the above info can inspire.
“Is humanity ready for a transformation of consciousness, an inner flowering so radical and profound that compared to it the flowering of plants, no matter how beautiful, is only a pale reflection? Can human beings lose the density of their conditioned mind structures and become like crystals or precious stones, so to speak, transparent to the light of consciousness?
The possibility of such a transformation has been the central message of the great wisdom teachings of humankind.”
He goes on to say a little further in the book, “But the ego is destined to dissolve, and all its ossified structures, whether they be religious or other institutions, corporations, or governments, will disintegrate from within, no matter how deeply entrenched they appear to be. The most rigid structures, the most impervious to change, will collapse first.” (remember communism?)
“When faced with a radical crisis, when the old way of being in the world, of interacting with each other and with the realm of nature doesn’t work anymore, when survival is threatened by seemingly insurmountable problems, an individual life form or a species will either die or become extinct or rise above the limitations of its condition through an evolutionary leap.
Responding to a radical crisis that threatens our very survival-this is humanity’s challenge now.”
So folks, better start walking, growing a garden, find out where your water supply is. The great thing about the human spirit I think is that old phrase, “when the going gets tough, the tough get going”!
No commentsAsherah – The Living Tree
The name of the Canaanite goddess, Asherah, means “straight”, a reference to her morality as well as to her manifestation in the form of an unshaped post or a living tree inside her temple. As the mother and nurturer of the gods, she was worshipped in groves of trees, and she was called upon at childbirth and during the planting of crops. Her full name was Lady Asherah of the Sea, although she was also called Elat, meanng “goddess.”
The Old Testament forbade participation in the orgiastic rituals in celebration of Asherah’s powers, despite widespread public worship by such prominent figures as Queen Maacha, her daughter, Queen Jezebel, was killed by Hebrew zealots on the charge of harlotry during a festival of Asherah. -Visions of the Goddess
1 commentHoly Days
I love Autumn and all of it’s harvesting, festivities, celebrations etc. In my family it is also filled with 6 birthdays! Today and tomorrow are very meaningful to me because of my Catholic upbringing this is the time we celebrate the dead. The Saints today and all Soul’s tomorrow. It is a time of reflection and honoring and loving those who are no longer with us. It is a time of remembering all they gave us.
This is not a time of sorrow, rather a time of celebration.
Today I celebrate my Great Grandparents, Grandparents, Brother, Aunts, Uncles, Father, Thundercat, Bat, Paco and all of those who have past on down through the gene pool……….I also honor some of my favorite Saints……….Theresa, Mary, Padre Pio, Kripalu, Francis and so many more.

“When you arrive at your future, will you blame your past?”
– Robert Half
What holds you back from being and doing more? In your journal, list what you believe is holding you back.
Have you blamed people or factors outside of yourself? It’s important to understand that ALL problems are rooted inside us. Even the blocks that appear to be outside of us are only reflecting back an issue we have inside that we have not yet owned. Once we address our inner issue, the outer situation no longer troubles us.
The buck always stops with us. We step into our power when we accept responsibility for our lives.
“The most self-destructive thought that any person can have is thinking that he or she is not in total control of his or her life. That’s when, ‘Why me?’ becomes a theme song.”
– Roger Dawson
“…look at that word blame. It’s just a coincidence that the last two letters spell the word me. But that coincidence is worth thinking about. Other people or unfortunate circumstances may have caused you to feel pain, but only you control whether you allow that pain to go on. If you want those feelings to go away, you have to say: ‘It’s up to me.’”

Life is flowing like silk right now, how I love this feeling. This week I’ve been able to stay in faith and trust, not just the words but the energy and it feels like flowing silk.
A project I thought was daunting is not, one down the road is beckoning me and looks to be filled with laughter and happy peace.
Family relations are untangled right now, friends are all around in good times and new friends are coming in. Social engagements I’ve shunned for years are happening and it is fun!

I don’t remember a summer where every morning was so perfect. Maybe I’m paying more attention.
I’m more in the moment. It reminds me of when I was a child and an hour was eternity. How nice is that? Eternity, living in it!
I’m not filled with yearning for something else at this time in my life. I’m letting many things go; people, places, papers, clothes, ideologies, old patterns, ad infinitum.
I am content right now and it is one of the best places I know.

“Keep it [your soul] then in patience, in love, in gentleness, in kindness . . . For these are indeed the fruits of the spirit . . . And remember, a kindness sometimes consists in denying as well as granting those activities in associations with thy fellow man.” Edgar Cayce Reading 5322-1
It can be difficult for me to know when to say no, has been that way all of my life. What is service for the highest good? What is the highest good? I’m struggling with that lately as I begin to piece together the remainder of my life. Can there be a highest good for all concerned? And maybe the highest good isn’t what we will benefit from the most, maybe if it’s not so pretty we’ll get more out of it. Semantics. That’s the space I’m in this morning as I ponder on fruits of the spirit.
1 commentPets and Telepathy
Many years ago my friend Genevieve had an amazing cat, G.G. (General Grant)
This cat would thought form us for things that she wanted. Genevieve would also thought form her back.
Looks like many people do this with their animals. My own cat Moondoggie thought forms me to get him food and can tell when I’m in a bad mood, and more.
When I received the article below I thought it was worth sharing to all of you who love animals.

Pets and Telepathy
by Owen Waters
Biologist Rupert Sheldrake did enough research on the
intuitive powers of pets to fill an entire book. It was called,
“Dogs That Know When Their Owners Are Coming Home:
And Other Unexplained Powers of Animals.”
In it, Sheldrake documents extensive cases of animals’
telepathic communication, awareness of distant events and
precognition of danger. His book was written before the
December 2004 tsunami which hit the coasts in Southeast Asia.
In that disaster, more than 3,000 human beings lost their
lives, yet the wild animals all knew to move to higher ground
before the tidal wave appeared. In the coastal cleanup, not one
wild animal was found drowned.
Pets read the minds of their owners and they also transmit
mental pictures, but few pet owners are aware of this. Often,
the idea is simply too strange for them to entertain. A former
neighbor of mine was a retired family doctor. He was perplexed
that his dog insisted on walking on one particular side of his
quiet side street and would always refuse to cross over to the
other side when the owner wanted him to. One day, he was
telling my wife about this mystery and she said, “Why don’t you
ask the dog why he does that? Use telepathy.”
The doctor looked at her, agape, like she’d just landed from
Mars. Then, he composed himself and mumbled something about not
believing in that kind of stuff. It’s a pity, really. Imagine
how useful it could be for a doctor to communicate mentally
with the spirit of a patient who is paralyzed or comatose. For
one thing, they’d know when to expect them back out of the
coma.
Pets communicate with each other using mental pictures. These
mental pictures act as thought packages which also carry
meaning. As you mentally absorb the picture, the meaning or
intention behind the message unravels. Thought is also fully
holographic in the sense that, when you unravel a thought
package, you gain a full experience of the picture being
transmitted – the sights, the sounds, the tastes, the smells,
and also the feelings on both a physical and emotional level.
If the thought package is about an experience that the sender
has had, you will be able to share and relive the entire
experience.
Telepathy is a natural medium of communication. Animals use
it. Dolphins and whales use it. Humans use it at night, when
they are out-of-body and traveling in the spirit world. Speech
was developed as a means of communication in the physical world
because the human conscious mind is tightly focused upon the
exterior world, emphasizing the use of five physical senses for
its information.
While the conscious human mind typically ignores telepathic
input, the subconscious mind is fully telepathic. Your
subconscious mind perceives every thought that the subconscious
mind of another person – or the conscious mind of a pet -
directs towards you.
Your subconscious mind is fully connected to the global mind,
which Jung referred to as the “collective unconscious” and
Teilhard de Chardin as the “noosphere,” which means “mind
atmosphere.” You continually receive thoughts from this global
mind atmosphere in tune with the frequency of your
consciousness at the time. Then, you process these thoughts
through your own consciousness and automatically retransmit
them back into the global mind.
Therefore, because of this automatic thought-sharing process,
every moment that you spend in uplifting thoughts is a moment
spent uplifting the thoughts of the world.
Professional pet psychics have found that pets even learn some
words from the human vocabulary. Pets know the sound of their
own names, but they also pick up other words. Once, a pet
psychic was asking a horse what his favorite food was and the
horse telepathed the word, “beans.” Thinking that beans would
be a strange item in a horse’s diet, the pet psychic told the
horse’s owner about this. He replied, “Oh, when I feed him
horse food pellets, I always think that they look like beans.
That’s where he must have picked up the word.”
You can use telepathic communication with your pets with just
a little practice. Your pets already read your thoughts,
especially if they are expressed with supporting mental
pictures. You can practice conversing mentally with your pets,
asking them questions and waiting for their responses to enter
your awareness.
Be Like Water
Today I will be like water, simple, flowing, unobstructed…..a wonderful practice to be water.
Children
Your children are not your children, they are the sons and daughters of Life’s longing for itself. They come through you but not from you, and though they are with you yet they belong not to you.
You may give them your love but not your thoughts, for they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, for their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams.
You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you, for life goes not backward nor tarries with yesterday.
You are the bows from which your children as living arrows are sent forth……….let your bending in the archer’s hand be for gladness. –Kahlil Gibran

“You can’t cross a sea by merely staring into the water.” -Rabindranath Tagore
I have been thinking about this a lot lately as I’ve watched some friends and family wanting big changes in their lives without having to do the work.
They don’t say they won’t do the work they just complain and make really valid excuses. But the bottom line is they really don’t want to do the work. I can relate to that. I have a couple of large projects that aren’t moving very well right now because I simply am not devoting much time to them. There is always so much to do.
My “to do” lists have become “life eaters”. And when that happens, for me, I drift about aimlessly in a sea of confusion about my direction because I have so much to do!
Back to the basics, what do I want? How will I get it? How will I know when I have it-what will I feel, see hear etc? What will having that do for me?

Soft and dreamy and so green today, feels like Oregon country. Wanderlust would be the feeling of today, moving or traveling to beautiful new scenery, meeting people, learning new ways of living. This is the daydreamy me, all flowing like liquid silk.
I’m spending time in the garden today in the rain pulling up creeping jenny and loving all the blooming flowers. Feels so good to have the rain on my hair and skin, toes in the mud, won’t even need to take a shower, thank you mother earth.
My little plum tree spoke while I was pulling weeds and told me he was there…..I almost missed it. Earth spirits are like that, fleetingly subtle
No commentsSpring?
Spring, where is it? And what does it mean when we don’t get our flowers and fruits because of the cold? I’m creeped out by our lack of spring this year. There won’t be any “heady” perfumes from our lilacs, and the peonies are wilted on the ground.
I could almost go into a metaphor for life, but that seems pretty depressing………….albeit probably true.
With all the news lately about global warming and ice caps down…….I saw the pictures and I’m still reeling…….here it is in our own back yards. And what will we do if we can’t grow our food, or for most people, what will they do when the trucks don’t bring in the food because there isn’t any to spare.
Rachel something wrote a book many years ago called Silent Spring. It isn’t that yet, but it feels like a pre-cursor.
The times that so many have written about for so many years are creeping into reality. It just isn’t happening overnight, but it is steadily happening right in front of our eyes.

Intention
The Intention Process is just about as simple as it can be. All you have to do is say I intend and then follow it up with whatever it is that you desire. It could be anything! You could intend to have a new coat for yourself or you could intend for world peace. Since there are no limits on what you can think about, there are no limits on what you can intend!
For me, I get up every morning and I intend that I am joyful and happy. I intend fun and laughter. I intend that I am in perfect health – rejuvenated, aligned, balanced, and feeling physically great all of the time. I intend that I am always guided, guarded, and protected. These are a few of the general intentions that I start with everyday and then I look around at my life to see what I am needing. If the old wheelbarrow just broke, I’d intend that I have a new one. If the computer decided to go on the fritz, I’d intend that it gets fixed. I don’t leave anything out because there’s no reason to hold back!
I like to make a few intentions each day about my personal traits. Sometimes I intend that I am a more compassionate person; or I intend that I’m more kind or gentle. And sometimes, especially when there are a lot of dramas going on all around me, I intend that I see everyone in their highest light and every event from its highest point of view. That way, I’m able to observe all of the sorrow and suffering in the world and still remain uplifted. I intend that I remember that it doesn’t do anybody any good to drop down into someone else’s challenges and become troubled or sad along with them. It’s much better to set an example by staying happy and cheerful.
After intending for things like this for awhile, I take a closer look at the world at large and make a few intentions for it too. For example, I intend that men, women, and children everywhere experience grace. And I intend that peace and harmony blossom all across the land. And I intend that this Earth is living in its highest light, and that, within our environment, the air we breathe is clean and crisp; the water everywhere is crystal clear and delicious; the soil is abundant with lush growth and beautiful fruit is dripping from the trees; the animals are honored and respected; and people all over the world are happy and smiling because they’re being given everything that they need! And, last but not least, I intend that all of my thoughts, words, and deeds serve the highest and best good of the Universe, myself, and everyone everywhere.
So be it and so it is!

How easy we can slip into that gray place! Don’t even see it coming most times. It’s time to give my sadness a voice again. It’s that “loss” piece. All the people, places and things that are no longer here.
I flipped so easily into it yesterday and even said to myself, ‘why are you going here?’ I went there because it deserves it’s time for healing.
I can often see these lost pieces as jewels now. Really beautiful jewels of my past. I can pull them out and cherish them and be grateful for these gifts. But the other side of that coin is a feeling of losing something instead of gaining. My focus today are on the jewels, but that doesn’t mean I won’t go into loss again, it needs it’s time to be healed and I honor that.
